The world is in flux. The financial crisis has shattered our too-blind faith in the regnant economic and political system. The good in this crisis: it makes you think. Many realize that the remedies proposed by government are no remedies at all, but merely measures intended to keep the existing system alive. The idea is spreading that the whole thing in reality is a giant redistribution intended to concentrate money and power into even fewer hands than before. It is high time to end our unquestioning ways with some serious thought.
. . . There is not a doubt in my mind that the Lancaster, the B17 and the B24 were built for the purpose of inflicting massive civilian casualties on the German populace. It was, in my opinion, one the greatest war crimes ever perpetrated. Colonel Robin Olds, surely one of the finest officers and fighter pilots ever to serve in the USAF, stated more than once that the so-called strategic bombing program was ineffective, wasteful and pointless.
Άφωνη η χώρα παρακολουθεί ένα πολιτικό θέατρο παραλόγου, αναφορικά με την προκήρυξη ή όχι, άμεσα πρόωρων εθνικών εκλογών την στιγμή που υφίσταται κορυφαίο και πιεστικό πρόβλημα εθνικής ασφάλειας και διαμορφώνονται συνθήκες ακρωτηριασμού και απώλειας κεκτημένων. Ενώ όλοι ασχολούνται με το αν ο πρωθυπουργός Κώστας Καραμανλής, επιχειρήσει πολιτικό αυτοχειριασμό και πέραν πάσης πολιτικής και εθνικής λογικής οδηγήσει τη χώρα σε πρόωρες εθνικές εκλογές, χθες η Τουρκία για πρώτη φορά μετά το 1974 έστειλε μισή Μοίρα (!) μαχητικών αεροσκαφών της σε αποστολή εικονικής προσβολής των Φούρνων!
