There are lot more Jews in the US than many realize
Half Sigma

The number commonly tossed around for the percent of Jews in the United State
is two percent. Indeed, when I used the RELIG variable in the GSS for the survey
years 2000-2008, 1.9 percent of respondents said they were Jewish. However,
the RELIG16 variable, which asks in what religion the respondent was raised, 2.1
percent were raised Jewish.. ..The number of people in the United States with
some Jewish ancestry is a lot greater than two percent, probably more like four
percent, which would be more like five percent of the country’s white population.

Rick Perry travel bankrolled by activist rabbi
Politico — Kenneth P. Vogel

music to the ears of an activist rabbi who made the governor’s last two trips
happen. The rabbi, Irwin Katsof, has spent years recruiting American officials to
participate in lavish trips meant to strengthen US-Israel economic and political
ties. Perry’s travel was bankrolled by Katsoff’s investment firm, initially called
Global Capital Associates, then Doheny Global Group. … The trips, one in 2007
and one in 2009, reportedly included meetings with Israeli business and political
leaders like Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Olmert. Participants
took a sunset cruise on the Red Sea and enjoyed a “scotch and cigar bar” where
participants would admire “a starry Jerusalem” …

… The most remarkable aspect of Perry’s press conference was the cast of
characters that assembled behind the Governor while he spoke. To Perry’s
immediate right was Assemblyman Dov Hikind, the former leader of the Jewish
Defense League, a terrorist group responsible for bombing attacks on numerous
Arab-American targets and a conspiracy to murder Republican Rep. Darrell Issa.
Surrounding Perry was a sundry assortment of Jewish Israeli extremists. …

Thai school’s Nazi-themed parade sparks outrage among Jews

A Jewish rights organization on Monday called for Thailand’s Christian leaders
to condemn a parade at Sacred Heart School in Chiang Mai, in which participating
students wearing Nazi Uniforms performed “Sieg Heil” salutes. The Simon Wiesen-
thal Center … denounced the event, saying it was “glorifying Nazis.”
“It is difficult
to calculate the hurt such a a display inflicted on survivors of the Nazi Holocaust®
and families of all victims of Nazism. There can be no justification for such an
outrage to emanate from a place of learning,” [Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the center]
said. [It] urged those responsible for the school to take immediate action against
the individuals who promoted and facilitated the event.

Secret panel can put Americans on `kill list’
Reuters
http://news.yahoo.com/secret-panel-put-americans-kill-list-041603267.html

American militants like Anwar al-Awlaki are placed on a kill or capture list by a
secretive panel of senior government officials, which then informs the president
of its decisions, according to officials. There is no public record of the operations
or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House’s National Security
Council, several current and former officials said. Neither is there any law estab-
lishing its existence or setting out the rules by which it is supposed to operate.
The panel was behind the decision to add Awlaki, a US-born militant preacher
with alleged al Qaeda connections, to the target list. He was killed by a CIA
drone strike in Yemen late last month.
An unconstitutional killing: Obama’s kill-order violates American law
Information Clearing House — Rep. Ron Paul
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article29284.htm

President Obama apparently believes he is not bound by the Constitution or the
rule of law.. ..The precedent set by the killing of Awlaki establishes the frightening
legal premise that any suspected enemy of the United States – even if they are a
citizen—can be taken out on the President’s say-so alone. Part of the very concept
of citizenship is the protection of due process and the rule of law. The President
wants to spread American values around the world but continues to do great
damage to them here at home, appointing himself judge, jury and executioner by
presidential decree.
